West Vancouver prices hold strong

Moderate easing of monthly sale numbers and supply is typical of West Vancouver's house market as the end of the calendar year approaches.  October detached home sales were down -10.26% from September and down -10.26% compared to same month last year. 

In spite of seasonal easing of monthly sale numbers, year-to-date (YTD January to October) West Vancouver home sales, however are up +11.25% compared to the same period last year; 712 and 640 respectively.

At the end of October West Vancouver's detached listing inventory was down -9.18% from September and down -10.46% compared to October 2013.


West Vancouver's detached house median sale price for October was $2,200,000, an increase of $57,500 from the month before, $90,000 from October 2013.

Median price $2,100,000 represents ytd and is up $200,000 to 2013's ytd.

West Vancouver house market dynamics continues to edge on balanced market conditions with an October 16% Sales Ratio average, that is, 1.6 in 10 homes selling.
