With only hours away from the new year my curiousity could not wait for Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board (OMREB) MLS stats to be finalized for 2011 sometime in the new year. So here is what I found....
- Kelowna 2011 residential sale totals 'eaked' under 2010 totals (2,243 vs 2,272) where as
- West Kelowna 'creeped' over (2011's 756 vs 2010's 740 total)
- 2011 MLS sale numbers for Kelowna are the lowest in ten years and second to lowest in ten years for West Kelowna
The sale totals mentioned include all residential: lots & acreages, manufactured homes, recreation, single family residential, townhomes and apartments. When OMREB re-opens in the new year there are apt to be slight variations to 2011 totals but not likely significant to change the observed market facts!
