Kelowna household eco-nasties round up Oct 16th

Kelowna's last Household Hazardous Waste Round Up is being held Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the KLO Campus of Okanagan College.  It runs between 9am - 3pm.  You must access the site from the Raymer Road entrance next to Kelowna Secondary School.  View Event News Release, link to Household Hazardous Waste Round Up webpage.

Saturday's eco-nasties round up is for residential use only.  Commercial waste will not be accepted.  Residential hazardous materials include anything with an explosive, flammable or poisonous label like solvents, chemicals, corrosive or toxic cleaners, pesticides, and old gasoline.  Automotive and household batteries and propane tanks are also accepted at Kelowna's Saturday event.

Kelowna residents now have an opportunity other than the October 16th event, to dispose of their eco-nasties easily year-round  instead of saving them up for this one day drop of event.  Check ou the link to new Kelowna's year round disposal locations and options for household hazardous waste products.
