Kelowna 2010 average house price is above the Canadian average

Good news!  Every morinig since the turn of the new year I've been reading positive on-line headlines.  Canadian real estate experts are saying: "House Prices to see steady climb", "Housing market still rosey", and "Canadian house prices expected to rise further". YES!

Canadian average 2010 house price is $348,600.  Housing experts are predicting mid-size cities like Winnipeg, Fredricton and Regina with affordability on their side, that is, average home prices still under $300,000 will see some strong price increases in 2011 compared to Vancouver and Toronto where the average price is $1,007,500 and $594,231 respectively.

$534,877 is Kelowna's 2010 average house price which is well above the Canadian $348,600 average house price.

The graph below shows the average house price for the 15 neighbhourhoods within the boundaries of the City of Kelowna.  Kelowna's lowest neighbouhood 2010 average price is $392,433 and highest $760,730.

(Note all Kelowna neighbourhoods each had more than 20+ sales in 2010 except Joe Riche with a total of 12).
