Kelowna real estate market - how much times does it take to sell property now & then

Kelowna real estate market the past eighteen months adjusted with increasing listing inventory and decreasing sale activity. What this all means is to sell correct pricing is critical and generally takes a bit longer to sell.

The Central Okanagan includes Beaverdell/Carmi, Black Mountain, Big White, Carr's Landing District, Dilworth Mountain, Ellison, Fintry, Glenrosa, Joe Ritchie, Kelowna North, Kelowna South, Lake Country East/Oyama, Lakeview Heights, Lower Mission, Lake Country West, North Glenmore, Peachland, Rutland North, Rutland South, Southeast Kelowna, Shannon Lake/Smith Creek, Springfield/Spall, University District, Upper Mission, Westbank, West Kelowna and the Westside.

TREND OF HOW LONG IT TOOK TO SELL PROPERTY OVER THE YEARS:

31.17% longer Jan-Nov 2009 compared Jan-Nov 2008
13.04% longer in 2008 compared to 2007
-4.7% less in 2007 compared to 2006
-40.3% less in 2006 compared to 2005
-9.8% less in 2005 compared to 2004
-9.8% less in 2004 compared to 2003
-4.7% less in 2003 comparred to 2002
-15.6% less in 2002 compared to 2001
-6.9% less in 2001 compared to 2000
17.2% longer in 2000 compared to 1999
