RCMP on-line list of grow-up addresses

You can now visit  a website listing the addresses of homes, outbuildings in residential, rural or commercial and industrial areas where Royal Canadian Mountain Police (RCMP) have found and shut down marihuana grow-ops and other drug production operations.

The national 'Marihuana Grow Initiative' (MGI) site was just launched Wednesday, September 21, 2011.

The RCMP website lists only grow-ops and drug production operation addresses shut down by RCMP, not by municipal forces.  The addresses will remain on the RCMP website for one year and regularly updated with new properties.

The website also provides Information to landlords and homeowners about the risks posed by properties used for drug cultivation.

The publishing of grow op and drug production operation addresses is part of  a new RCMP public awareness strategy as well as to combat illicit marihuana cultivation and the orgranized crime elements behind it.
