Signifanct changes with zero-down mortgages

The high ratio insurers now allow purchasers with good credit and income to buy with zero down at fully discounted rates.

The net result on a purchase of $400,000 is a monthly payment of $2420 as opposed to a previous payment of $2620.This is based on a 5 year term and a 25 year amortization.

Payments can further be reduced by a client taking a 35 year amortization on the above example to $2100 a month.

Great for clients who later in life expect their incomes to increase or expect to come into some money.

I feel the change in the zero down program will open up the market to many younger couples just starting out
