Sunshine caution for Kelowna home owners

Past week Kelowna homeowners have been experiencing high temperatures, for example, +30 degrees Celsius. This morning I came across an article in the Vancouver Sun "Slather on the Sunscreen" by Patrick Langston:
"SPF 100. Waterproof. UVA protection. Buying sunscreen can get so complicated, you're tempted to forget the whole thing.
Not a good choice.
"Over 1,000 people die from skin cancer every year in Canada. That's more than a couple a day," says Dr. Jason Rivers, a Vancouver dermatologist and former head of the Canadian Dermatology Association's National Sun Awareness Program.
More than 75,000 Canadians are expected to develop skin cancer this year, with the sun's radiation a major culprit. In the past 20 years, skin cancer rates have more than doubled. "We have a short summer season, so we tend to overdose on the sun," says Rivers.
That golden tan, warn the experts, is not a sign of health, but a signal that cells have been damaged. Defective cells have a habit of turning into tumours."
I must admit it's confusing when you are a store counter wading through the many sunscreen choices. To help narrow the sunscreen choices down the following is a list recognized and updated by Canadian Dermatologist Association March 2010:
