2018 we saw a changing real estate market in both West Vancouver and North Vancouver not unlike other Metro Vancouver areas; sale numbers weakened, build-up of active listings, downward pressure in pricing.

A lot of factors influenced 2018’s changing real estate market including an increase in the transfer tax and foreign buyer tax, the introduction of a speculation tax, tougher mortgage qualifications, rising interest rates and changes to the Residential Tenancy Act.
