Townhomes offer house-like options that are popular in today's market with buyers but their choices are limited in North Vancouver.

The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver breaks down North Vancouver into 35 neighborhoods of which most do not have townhome options for buyers to consider.

The Board reports that townhome sales in North Vancouver reached 50 in April.  This represents a little over 56% increase to 32 sales recorded in April 2014, and a 9% decrease compared to 55 sales the month before.

Last month's sales were just over 78% above the 10-year monthly sales average of 28.

The sales-to-active listings ratio for townhomes currently sits at 0.63 in North Vancouver, which is the highest this measure has been since May 2006!

New listings for townhomes in North Vancouver totalled 50 in April.  This represents just a little over 10% increase from the 43 new listings in April 2014 and a 3.6% decrease from the 55 new listings in March.  Last month's new listing count was just over 26% higher than North Vancouver's 10-year monthly new listings average.

North Vancouver townhome prices continue to show steady, modest increases when compared to last year.  The MLS® Home Price Index for townhomes in North Vancouver is currently $625, 000,.  This represents  a 4% increase compared to April last year and 0.5% from the month before, March 2015.
